IMD Warns Against Heatwave in North-Western India
Indian Meteorological Department has warned several States in Northwestern India against an imminent heatwave. The reason behind this wave is the hot Northwesterly winds flowing from Pakistan. States like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab have recorded 40° Celsius mark during the last few days. Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan recorded the maximum temperature on Thursday at 45.8° celsius. The department has advised people not to venture out during the daytime and to keep hydrated.
