102-Year-Old Man Gains International Recognition by Breaking Thailand’s 100M Record

Sawang Janpram, a 102-year old-man from Thailand, amazes the world as he sets a new record for his peer group by finishing the 100-meter race in just 27.08 seconds. His urge to win was clear during the Thailand Masters Athletes Championships that was held last weekend, where he won all the gold medals in the 100-105 years category. The 102-year-old is greatly admired as the oldest sprinter in Thailand after participating four times in the championship. His achievement was not an easy target to attain. In an attempt to stay in practice, he along with his daughter began walking twice a day at a local stadium instead of walking once a day before appearing in the race.
