Russia Providing Safe Evacuation Corridors For Indian Students Amid Distress
After India raised the issue at the UN Security Council Meeting in Ukraine, Russia declared that a humanitarian operation will be conducted, with a cease-fire at 12:30 PM at IST. That includes the corridors of Sumy city, where 600 students are stranded and still unable to leave despite several attempts and efforts. Russia announced with an agreement with Ukraine’s side that they will arrange safe transport via air, rail and road towards Poltava, for temporary accommodation towards the selected destinations in the south. Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with both the Presidents, stressing the need for an immediate cease-fire and for both the parties to return to the path of dialogue and diplomacy.
